SCHOOL SUPPORT & TRAINING

We know that teachers and schools need support to deliver financial education.

We are here to provide ongoing training, events and other opportunities to help teachers develop the skills and confidence to achieve the best learning outcomes.

CPD Training

When you register to join LifeSavers, you will receive a free CPD training on incorporating your financial literacy resources into Maths and PSHE curriculum and lessons. Our training gives teachers the confidence, know-how and resources to put together an age appropriate, relevant and engaging programme of financial education for their school.

Ongoing Support

Our team of Financial education specialist will be able to provide you and your school with ongoing support throughout the year. When you sign you, will be assigned a co-ordinator based on your location and requirements. They will be able to support you via email, online meetings and even with visits to your school based on your needs.

Curriculum maps

We provide clear maps and guides that directly connect our resources to the national curriculum, ensuring schools are still hitting targets. Talk to us today to find out more about our curriculum maps for all our resources.

FAQs

  • Our coordinators are trained to deliver our CPD sessions, so you will always be in contact with the same individual. LifeSavers schools will receive a 45-minute training session that fits nicely into a weekly after school meeting. Delivered at your convenience, you arrange the date and time with your coordinator. Any physical resources will be shipped to the school prior to the training and the session will be delivered remotely via Teams or Zoom.

  • We always welcome suggestions that help us better understand the needs of our teachers. If you would like to incorporate a specific topic into your school’s LifeSavers CPD, you can speak to your coordinator to arrange this. If you have already completed your CPD or your school is not currently participating in LifeSavers, we would be happy to consider any topic for our monthly webinar series.

For more information, contact Hayley Coyne at lifesavers@jff.org.uk

  • For schools who participate in our LifeSavers Savings Club, we offer training for the students who will be serving as cashiers. This gives the students the skills and confidence to operate our digital platform. This training is delivered separately to a training session for the staff or volunteers who will be overseeing the Savings Club.

Beyond this specific training, we believe that the people best placed to deliver information to students are the ones who know them best – their teachers. We believe in upskilling and empowering teachers to confidently deliver financial literacy in their classrooms.
