why money & mental health matters

Money is part of everyday life, but it can also bring up big feelings, even for children.

Some children hear lots of conversations about money growing up. Others don’t get the same opportunities to learn how it works. When money feels confusing or stressful, it can affect confidence and wellbeing.

That’s why learning about money early can make such a difference. When children understand money and feel confident talking about it, they’re better able to make choices, ask questions and manage worries when they arise.

Our free Mental Health Awareness Week pack helps teachers open up these conversations in supportive, age-appropriate ways.

about JFF

At JFF, we’re on a mission to change how children grow up with money.

Money touches all of our lives. But not every child gets the same chance to learn about it. By helping children build the knowledge, skills and confidence to understand money from an early age, we can make the “rules of the game” clearer for everyone.

Our free resources help teachers bring money learning into everyday classroom conversations in ways that feel accessible, supportive and practical.
