Thank you for wanting to find out more about the Just Finance Foundation and the Supporters Group we are building.

If people, and therefore, society are to flourish, financial education needs the same prominence and investment as numeracy and literacy education. And, given the size of the present challenge, we enthusiastically support all efforts to upskill the financial knowledge and confidence of young people.

However, it’s our belief that, if the tide is truly going to turn, an approach that is embedded in the curriculum - and scalable through and sustainable by schools - is required. This means investing in and empowering the teacher to become the expert so they can confidently embed financial education within the daily life of the school. This includes delivering financial education and potentially running a Savings Club as part of core subjects like Maths and PHSE which also helps contextualise learning, bringing theory to life.

Given the cost of living crisis and increasing demand for our programmes, it is the right time to bring together a group of senior and influential leaders from across the asset management sector to bolster our efforts and lead the charge to build a financially capable, inclusive and resilient nation.

In three years’ time, we hope our collaboration will have embedded financial education into 2,000 (10%) UK schools and made habits like budgeting and saving from early childhood the norm. We believe this is the point at which the tide on early years financial education will begin to turn.

We look forward to talking to you on the 13th October about our vision. If you’d like to learn more about the Just Finance Foundation and Milo’s Money, or make a personal donation, please click below.
